4. Quotes and Pricing

All transportation quotes are estimates based upon information provided by the customer.

Pricing may change due to:

  • Dimension changes
  • Route changes
  • Permit requirements
  • Escort requirements
  • Fuel price fluctuations
  • Delays caused by customer
  • Port congestion
  • Weather conditions
  • Government restrictions
  • Carrier availability

Quotes are valid only for the period specified in the quotation.

Final billing may differ from the original estimate if shipment information provided is inaccurate or incomplete.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate shipment information
  • Providing correct pickup and delivery locations
  • Providing accurate dimensions and weights
  • Ensuring freight is ready at pickup
  • Securing any required site access
  • Obtaining any required permits not specifically included in writing
  • Ensuring equipment is properly prepared for transport

Customers shall be responsible for any additional costs resulting from inaccurate shipment information.

6. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.
  • Deposits may be required before dispatch.
  • Outstanding balances may delay shipment release.
  • Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month or the maximum amount permitted by law.
  • Customer agrees to reimburse collection costs, attorney fees, and court costs incurred in collecting overdue balances.

7. Carrier Selection

United Heavy Haul reserves the right to select qualified carriers for transportation services.

Carrier selection is based on:

  • Safety ratings
  • Insurance coverage
  • Equipment availability
  • Service requirements
  • Regulatory compliance

The Company does not guarantee the use of any specific carrier unless agreed to in writing.

8. Cargo Claims

Any cargo damage, loss, or shortage must be reported:

  • At delivery whenever possible.
  • Within 24 hours of delivery.
  • In writing with supporting documentation.

Failure to properly document damages on the Bill of Lading may impact claim eligibility.

Cargo claims are subject to the terms and limitations of the transporting carrier's cargo insurance policy and applicable federal regulations.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

  • Weather
  • Road closures
  • Permit delays
  • Government actions
  • Labor strikes
  • Equipment failures
  • Traffic conditions
  • Port delays
  • Natural disasters
  • Events beyond reasonable control

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Heavy Haul LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential damages
  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Loss of use
  • Indirect damages
  • Special damages

The Company's maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the specific transportation service giving rise to the claim.

11. Website Use

Users may not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to Company systems.

  • Submit false shipment information.
  • Use the website for unlawful purposes.
  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, logos, software, text, pricing tools, calculators, databases, and intellectual property displayed on United Heavy Haul websites remain the exclusive property of United Heavy Haul.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or modified without prior written permission.
